Course Content

This course supports IB DP Film teachers and students in moving beyond task compliance towards confident, intentional filmmaking that meets assessment expectations. Delivered through pre-recorded, on-demand video sessions, it allows you to engage flexibly at your own pace in the lead-up to assessment uploads. By grounding examiner feedback in authentic production and classroom contexts, it enables more precise teaching of film language, clearer creative decision making within defined roles, and stronger, evidence-based assessed work across the DP Film course.

  • Four complete video overviews covering all DP Film assessment tasks, each unpacking examiner insights, common pitfalls, and success indicators

  • Presented by three ISTA artists, workshop leaders, and examiners, combining classroom, professional, and assessment expertise

  • Practical and assessment-focused, translating criteria and subject report language into actionable guidance for rehearsal, research, and writing

  • Designed to improve student outcomes, supporting clearer intentions, stronger alignment between process and performance, and more effective evaluation
